Classic ground school Doc I used an earlier edition when I learned to fly years ago. I have referred to it repeatedly through the years. Now my son is learning to fly and is teaching himself the ground school portion with this manual.I am using it to brush up on some new ideas, regulations, etc. I am sure there are other flight manuals that are fine but this one has been excellent for myself and my son.. "Good syllabus, outdated humor, outdated diagrams" according to Weekend handy man. The Kershner manual is the manual our flight school prescribes, although you can use other manuals if you like. It's too inconvenient looking up the required material for each lesson/unit in another book, so I bought this one. You can see the old fashioned humor in the book, which is often quite inappropriate. The diagrams are generally poor compared to other books, and you can see how they have been patched in over ti. "Five Stars" according to David Ellington. Great book!
