Samuel Christian Friedrich Hahnemann was born in 1755 in Meissen. A German physician, he discovered what he believed to be the key to curing the sick whilst translating a Scottish medical book in the early 1800s. . His writings still remain the ultimate authority on the doctrines and practice of homoeopathic medicine
This edition offers both versions interposed ('This paragraph was completely rewritten in the sixth'). Essentially, one can see the changes that Hahnemann made to the text of the 5th edition. In this new book, we have incorporated them under the appropriate aphorisms at one place - this makes the reading and understanding of "Organon" more easy. For the past few years we were constantly requested by our beloved readers to redo this treasure in a manner which is consistent with modern books. It is a valuable study guide. The combined fifth and sixth edition of "Organon" was typesetted around 100 years back. A Word index has been added at the end of the book which makes it very easy to find the required portion of the text.. The positive changes we made are as follows: a new font has been used which is bigger in size and is a pleasure to read, and footnotes which were earlier given at the bottom and spread over different aphorisms were difficult to find and read. From the Publisher The sixth edition of the "Organon" as left by Hahnemann ready for publication was found to be an interleaved copy of the fifth, the last German Edition, published in 1833. In his eighty-sixth year, while in active practice in Paris, he completed the thorough revision of it by carefully going over paragraph by paragraph, making changes, erasures, annotations and additions.
