Kindle Customer said Very informative and interesting book. Thank you for writing this book. I learned a lot about the history of drugs and was touched by your honest telling of the horror of your unfortunate experiences. We all live and learn. By sharing this portion of your life you are helping othersprobably more than you realize.. Should be better That is one amazing cover. I was hoping for something much more insightful on the page. And I think the author is great for protecting his son from his ex-wife, and for championing his nanny. There's a certain arrogance and righteousness that is not endearing, though. He is angry at the dot.com bubble bursting, certain cops, certain lawyers, and he remarks after each rant, that's another book. It's another book I don't want to read, frankly. And he is very, very angry at his ex-wife for doing exactly what friends warned him she would do before he marri. Well written, interesting, and disturbing look at the meth epidemic. Crazy Town is a unique book in that it not only tells a personal story but tracks the historical growth of the development and use of meth. The chapters alternate, providing two related but very different narratives. At first I was unsure whether this format would work but I found it to work very well. The personal story of Mr. Braswell's relationship with a meth addict is compelling and many times disturbing. The chapters on the history of meth, while very interesting on their own, serve to both somewhat lighten the emotional impact of the personal cha
With their love rekindled, they were married. The craziness of the next few years would leave Sterling almost completely broke financially, emotionally, and spiritually and nearly murdered.. Then he met his high school sweetheart after not seeing her for over ten years. Then she started using meth. They had no real worries, a lovely son, and a bright future. Sterling Braswell has two tickets to crazy town: one is his riveting personal account of meth addiction and the other is a thorough global history of the methamphetamine epidemic Sterling Braswell was a millionaire -- palatial ranch, stock options, and money in the bank. Life was beautiful
Designed as a wake up call against the substance for Americans, "Crazy Town" is a tragedy and history in one, highly recommended. Braswell and his wife. Author Sterling Braswell weaves an insightful history of the worldwide methamphetamine epidemic into his cautionary tale about being blinded by love, and how it cost his fortune, his sanity -- and nearly his life -- to escape. The chapters concerning his life seem significantly shorter than those relaying the development and evolution of meth use, and the reader is always left wanting more pieces of the puzzle. For example, from the facts he unearthed pertaining to the development of at-home meth labs (a phenomenon with which our generation is now all too familiar), the reader is able to understand how over-the-counter medications came to be used in the homegrown meth operations around our country, and at about the same time the reader also is familiarized with the antics Clyde i
So many people that I worked with could only take the life for a few years, then they would burn out. And though some people call it luck, I took a job for little money but lots of stock options to work for Microsoft. And I worked 100 hours per week for years. Anything I could do to make money. But I did take time to get married to my high school sweetheart via sheer chance. And I knew that I would eventually burn out too. And as hard as it was, it was also challenging and fun. And from ag
