Reclaiming the Past Carole W Foran Viviane Wayne is an exquisite writer. In 159 pages the author takes us on a journey through Turkey dating from 1453 (when Turkey was a possession of the Ottoman Empire) to the present. It is an intensely personal journey. On reading this story, I felt that Ms. Wayne had taken me by the hand on an adventure. Each page held new discoveries, historically, geneologically and psychologically. Her writing is beautifully crafted. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. A marvelous read.
When not traveling the globe, she writes from her home in Southern California. Viviane Wayne is a travel writer and poet whose work has appeared frequently in the San Francisco Examiner, the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and other journals.
