Carmindy! S. C. I always liked Carmindy on What Not to Wear She always made everyone look like the best versions of themselves, and not all crazy and over the top. I know I can look up tips from her online, but I like having a book in my hands to peruse The book has lots of pictures and the instructions are clear.. "Disappointing to Carmindy fans" according to Leafpeeper. As a fan of Carmindy's segment on "What Not to Wear", I was disappointed that this book did not follow the show's successful format. What is so appealling about Carmindy's WNTW segments is taking ducklings (real women) and turning them into swans. This book features only flawless high fashion models getting different styles of makeup. For instance when the text is discussing how to cover up under eye circles, the photos show a flawless 20-something model with no hint of under eye circles. Ditto the section on eyebrow grooming - the same flawlessly groo. Truly a 5-minute face. I love it!!!!! Love this book. Exactly what I expected. I have lots of experience with makeup. Still found Carmindy's suggestions very helpful. Also love that she includes a variety of ethnicities/complexions, clear concise instructions with photos, and a list of products(high-end & less expensive). I am a pro makeup artist. This book comes in handy when making suggestions for my personal friends. She proves makeup can be quick, easy, and doesn't have to cost a small fortune.
