This book was an easy read that kept me up way too late at night reading "just one more page", and each time I'd turn the light off with a content and peaceful feeling inside. I have unpacked my own childhood "stuffed friends" to remind me of the security they did actually provide for me all those innocent years.Dr. Scieszka has created a book that is not only entertaining but also informative and leaves one reflecting on and weighing out their own ways of dealing with their lives: past, present and future. Each character speaks compassionately to the different aspects of our emotional and spiritual si. "Scieszka does an excellent job developing each and every one of her many" according to Bri. Dr. Scieszka does an excellent job developing each and every one of her many yet unique characters. Each has a special relationship to the protagonist, which is very interesting to see. I think one of the best parts about this book is that it is very realistic, in the sense that after 200 pages, the protagonist's struggles aren't immediately resolved, and her life isn't perfected. The way Dr. Scieszka sets up the book, with a parallel between the protagonist's story and the story the protagonist is writing, is very revealing and telling of the progress the protagonist is making as she grows. The ending. "Hard to put down." according to FoxCitiesCalypso. If we look back at our lives, most of us have times where we are "lost" and struggle to be found. As I read, Ann became my friend and I cared about her. I shared some of her thoughts, trials, and tribulations. I could "relate". This is a book that touches your heart, and is unforgetable.
