Great book for learning mechanism design theory Pennestri' Ettore This book contains a theoretically sound introduction to mechanism design. Each topic is very well explained. I strongly recommend this book foranyone seriously interested in learning about kinematics of mechanisms. I got interested in kinematics long time (1980) ago after reading the papers from Prof.C.H. Chiang. I like very much the author's teaching style. He also authored an outstanding book on spherical kinematics.. "Great book!" according to emiliano_the continuum. Professor Chiang geometrical approaches to build their mechanisms. Even tough it is a good book i prefer Burton Paul's kinematics of planar machinery.
