DESCRIPTION:
Good book This is a good book to begin learning the fundamentals of fluid mechanics in a science point of view.. Best Fluid Mech Book Ever KZ You have to know:1- This is not an undergrad level book, so if you it is your fist exposure to the subject maybe you need another book (White, Streeter, Shames,).2- This is not a Mathematical Fluid Mech. book but, for sure it would be a very great resource for Math student. If you need more mathematical treatment of the subject you may use (Chorin and Marsden, Childress, Elementary Fluid Dynamics by Acheson, L. D. Landau and E. M. Lifshitz, Meyer Richard E).3- It covers all the general topics in Fluid Mech up to a good int. I suffered this onebut Patrick Thompson Okay, I am an engineer who suffered this book through three- count 'em- fluid mehcanics subjects (Fluids I, II and yes, you guessed it, III! ah the pretentions of roman numerals should have warned mealas I digress)Okay the fact is with this book you need three things to make it work: 1) a damn good lecturer, 2) Some effort to do the problems and 3)Schaum's solved problems in fluid mechanics or something similiar.I do disagree that it is impossible. Or REALLY hard or written to impress his professor friendsit just requires
