No good Sky Ranger This is a very cheap paper publication, no color in the AIM section--all balck & white, print so small even reading glassess do little help. Do yourself a favor and buy the ASA brand--which I thought this was, it is not. I will have to buy another FARAIM. A waste of my money.. Rick said Not the normal FAR/AIM. While this is probably the complete FAR/AIM it is not the usual version that you get from the FBO. I purchased it to get a larger format with expected larger print that had been a part of my "kit" when I entered pilot training 5 years ago. It appears to be the "complete" FAR including, for example, how to protest a contract awarded by the FAA but without the helpful revision markings and no e-mail updates. Most pilots don't need that information and probably not a significant part of what is there buried in the fine pri. This is a Skyhorse Publishing book Pete Zaitcev I was in a rush to buy 2011 rulebook, so I ended with this. The volume is very cheaply made, and does not have handy requirements compendums that ASA has in front. Font is extremely small. But, it gets the job done after all, so 3 stars. Next year I'm buying McGraw-Hill edition for sure, or failing that, ASA.
Not only does this manual present FAA regulations, but it also includes a study guide for specific pilot training certifications and ratings, a pilot/controller glossary, the NASA Aviation Safety reporting form, and important FAA contact information, all packed in an easy-to-use book that fits in the standard-issue flight bags.. In this newest edition of the FAR/AIM, all regulations, procedures, and illustrations are brought up to date to reflect current FAA data. Don’t be caught with an out-of-date edition of the FAR/AIM. As every intelligent aviator knows, the skies have no room for mistakes
