Well Balanced Information Drones have been a hot topic recently, but even thought they've been around for awhile I don't really know all that much about them. To that end, Drones was a really helpful book. It goes over the history of drones and how they're used, both by the military and commercially. To someone like me who knew virtually nothing about drones other than what I see online, the information was really interesting and well organized. I'm inspired to look up more information and learn what I can! My favorite thing about the book is how balanced it is. The author goes into the benefits and potential issues with drones, which makes for a wel. Great info! Drones never fail to amaze me, these are aerial vehicles I thought widely used only in the military but this book brings up interesting facts about drones, facts that most people don't know including myself. Drones bring so much advantages for the military aside from that these aerial vehicles have many commercial advantages and uses as well, they can be used in photography, actions sports cinematography to capture shots from great distances, able to get up close and personal without being an invasion of subject, these vehicles also can amazingly get close to the eye of a hurricane. Great information.. A Fluff Piece James I'm pro-drone, and even this report made me shake my head. If this book didn't claim to be unbiased, it'd be a fine short book, but it does claim to be unbiased. Unfortunately, it's all just fluff.The biggest argument against drones is privacy issues about how they can spy on anyone, anywhere, nearly forever. The author's recommendation? Paint the drones. Here is a line taken from the Privacy section: " are hopeful that those opposed to them won’t mind so much if they are brighter in color or more visually appealing."
