DESCRIPTION:
This classic reference for the fundamental formulae of physics and astrophysics has become part of nearly every astronomers and astrophysicists library. "A magnificent compendium" - OPTICA ACTA (ON THE FIRST EDITION)
If you want to know something about a given area, or find the formula that you need or know might exist, the first step is to look for it in Astrophysical Formulae or its references, rather than searching through a library or journals.Over the past two decades, Astrophysical Formulae has become a standard reference found on numerou
A very-very useful book even for researchers Ágoston Gábor Well, if you'd like to have a lot of useful mathemathical formulae on hand when making your astrophysical computations (at any topics as I can admit) then this is the very book you need. My only problem with it is that it doesn't cover all the formulae I needed for my computations but maybe I'm not fair wishing the impossible Anyway it spared me a really big amount of time when on my desk.
From the reviews"This latest up-date remains an essential source book for every student and every researcher in astrophysics, as well as in physics." "Irish Astronomical Journal, 2000" From reviews of the second edition"a magnificent compendium without which no astronomer's library would be complete." "Optica Acta"
