The book has a wide variety of essays and case studies touching most areas of communication and multimedia design.The specific examples of how other teachers have structured their classes is inspiring, in particular the case studies in the back sectio. "Great book for students" according to am. I'm a communication design major and this text was required for a class. I actually ended up reading the book cover to cover and have continued to reference it throughout my education. It will change your perspective on what design can be as well as offer inspiration and teach methodology for design research. The topics are wide-ranging and articles are well-wri.
