Broadway! Seth's love for the Musical Theatre equals my own and his knowledge of all things Broadway is an obsession to be cherished. Can life really be going that well? Of course not—his family is driving him crazy and his boyfriend can’t seem to get rid of his other boyfriend. After years of toiling in the pit of some of the best-loved (and loathed) hits on the Great White Way, he’s just been given his big break. Even if the closest you ever get to the Broadway jungle is second mezz at “The Lion King,” you'll have a good time” —Bruce Vilanch, Actor-Writer-One-time-SquareWelcome to life beneath the wicked stage!Stephen Sheerin was born to play on Broadway—or at least, under it. He’s a musician, a conduct
An Ahhmazing Journey Inside Broadway! Steven Ross Having listened to Seth's radio show in Sirius I was pretty certain that I would enjoy this book and I was not disappointed! Following the adventures of Stephen and hearing him describe what actually happens behind the scenes of a Broadway show is both entertaining and touching. And the Broadway anecdotes that are included made me laugh out loud while reading it! Having heard a few of them relayed by Seth himself on the radio makes me think that most of the Broadway stories (if not all) actually happened.Reading this book makes me wonder how much of this. "Fun, fun, FUNNY!" according to M. Burns. This is such a fun book to read! Seth is really funny and clever, so every sentence has something to make you smile or laugh out loud. He knows just EVERYTHING about Broadway, and tells all, as well. It's tough to tell the fact from the fiction (I prefer to think it's 99% fact with about two names changed). Besides being a funny person, Seth has put together a great narrative, in the form of a diary. In other words, it's not just a bunch of one-liners crammed into a book -- the story itself is interesting, believeable and intriguing. His writing voice is. "What Fun!" according to hampstr. This is a really sweet, sincere, fun-loving book. If its depiction of Broadway is truly accurate, I wish I'd never left home to go to LA!
