If I knew nothing about Ayurveda, and wanted some general information, this would be a great bookbut as a long time massage therapist, who has had some Ayurvedic training, but was seeking more, this was just ok.I was seeking a book with specific Ayurvedic massage techniques, and protocolsmaybe that is too specific for a book? The massage techniques differed only slightly from Swedish techniques, and offered very little and very general information.f. Author covers much historical foundation for the special traditions discussed in the book. I reserved a star due to my personal opinion of some elements of the modality. I.e. clapping loudly each time the practitioner removes their hands from the client.
