Rip-Roaring good read This book is a must for all western historians. It chronicles the life of a man not known by many. The book takes the reader through the life of a brave frontiersman. The West Texas atmosphere is well represented. The book contains photos of a time long past. Being from this area I found the book very interesting. It kept me wanting more and more.. Awesome. Aarskringspier This is my uncle on my mothers side. Plenty if history floating around out household relating to Mr. Higgins. My great Grandmother, a Sweet, made many trips to visit him on his ranch. I've had this book as a present from my grandfather for a long time and highly recommend it. For a different take of a different kind of gunman. Not a criminal, not a cold blooded murderer, just a guy trying to survive during a hard time.
