Judging by its cover, I thought the title cliché, the story probably too common-- you know, middle-aged professional whining about his state in life, his boss, his relationships, and the little fishing he does now doesn't fil in the numerous gaps.Boy was I wrong.Raines is a skilled writer and storyteller, and this book is truly a great adventure and window into a lifetime of fishing-- people (and fishing) of all sorts, the highs and lows of life, at times hilarious, others sorrowful.
