Sought-after celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes helps change up the usual go-to makeup routine with techniques for getting the perfect look during every transition of the day
One massive ego trip - for the author! amazon customer This book, more than anything else, was annoying to read. If you're looking for actual, step-by-step instructions on how to achieve different looks, this is not the book to read. It offered, to me, very little information that I could use in my everyday routine. If you're looking for a book filled with "I know Kim, I know Paris, I know Raquel, - and this was how I thought she would look in my current fantasy". then a high fashion photo, followed by the celebrity's ode to how much SHE admired and l. Good buy for aspiring MUA or makeup enthusiasts. Toni Price Love the tips and tricks in the book.. Not helpful, and surprisingly ignorant There are not step-by step instructions in this, only product lists and vague suggestions. The book seems to be primarily an excuse for Scott Barnes to show off his connections to famous women.Vanessa Williams is made up in blackface in the transformations sections, and a trans woman is "taken back to her time as a man". I've never come across a more ignorant or offensive book on makeup.
