DESCRIPTION:
Good info M.R. Bought this for my teenage son to help him work on his first car. Seems to be helping thus far.. James L. Willis said get this book and start wrenching!. a great book for the first time engine builder. this book breaks down engine rebuilding system by system and gives you a solid foundation on engine rebuilding. the author covers valvetrain components and function in depth including a chapter on camshaft theory. the book for some reason doesnt cover induction systems all that well, however its still a must have book. "Read this book first" according to T. G. Reese. before you start your rebuild. Concise, readable, inexpensive and very informative.
An illustrated guide to all types of engine building, the techniques and procedures in this book cover: machining, reconditioning short blocks, degreeing camshafts, engine assembly, measuring tools, cylinder heads, valvetrain assembly, and blueprinting.
