The three scholarly articles by the authors, the beautiful color photographs of Amish quilts, and even the abundant white space in the lay out of this book all serve to communicate explicitly and implicitly the art, the lifestle and the values of the Amish. This book is a feast for the eyes. Many quilts are shown both in their entirety to show the impact of the quilt as a whole, as well as in close up. "Five Stars" according to JM. Great book.
