Each of these two has her own wounds, and it takes the two of them working together to alleviate the pains they live with. In reading this book, I learned about doctors going and filling in when a hospital has a temporary vacancy; the details of living with a prosthesis; great programs by the VA; etc. It really i. I recommend this as a stand alone ir as part of Amazon Customer Already read this one three times. The interaction between Dale & Logan is intense & angsty at times. It's not, however, desperate and drawn out. There are some laugh out loud moments. Heartbreaking reveals. And courage to do what one must. I recommend this as a stand alone ir as part of the series..
