"Disappointing" according to Jules. I loved the first two books in this series (In the Middle of Somewhere and Out of Nowhere), gave them both five stars, and have re-read them several times, but I was disappointed by Where We Left Off.The first two books of the series beautifully balanced all the necessary elements to make a first-person, relationship-focused narrative interesting and believable, and the characters sympathetic and appealing. They gave me the wonderful feeling I knew the characters after only a very few, skillfully presented scenes. This. m/m books said It was sad. Isn't this supposed to be a romance?. Leo truly loves Will, but Will is very self centered and even though Leo is younger, Will is the one that's immature.***Spoilers*** (please don't read if you want to avoid spoilers)What was lovable about Leo? A lot. He's a nice guy, he tries hard at things, he's loyal, he's smart, he's friendly, he loves with all his heart, he wants to make Will happy because he loves him, he really tries to understand Will.What was lovable about Will? UhmhmmI truly can't think of a single thing. He complained about every person he kno. My favorite of the three books in this series I loved the first two books in the Middle of Somewhere series, but found myself a little hesitant to read this one based on some reviews. But, I'm so glad I went ahead and read it. It is actually my favorite of the three books, but for all of the reasons I least expected. Firstly, I should say when it comes to romance I'm a sucker for a happy ending. So beginning the book knowing Leo (whom I adored in the first book) might not get his happy ever afterI guess I was holding my breath. But, what Leo gets is so much more.
