I believe it was then published by the Iowa State University Press. There are newer, updated versions, but I just bought this old one to give to a friend who th. Delving into it , really reading it , so many things ,so many questions a person could have become clear- Kershner almost seems magical . If a person interested in learning about flying could only get one book , this one would do it as a marvel. "Easy to understand" according to Valerie A. Marrs. These are not the new editions, but I love the way he writes. He is easy to read and has a good sense of humor.
Everything a student pilot needs to gain aviation certification is included in this handbook for student pilots.
