DESCRIPTION:
. Leading interior designer Suzanne Kasler’s stunning collection of rooms, with their fresh mix of continental flavor and tailored design, are perfect for an urbane lifestyle
Kasler’s mélange of antiques, midcentury pieces, and modern furniture makes her layered interiors attractive and livable. She brings Southern charm, European sensibility, and a respect for architectural details to her interiors. Offering a wealth of original design ideas that are refreshing and full of verve, Inspired Interiors is a welcome addition to any library of interior design books.. Lavishly illustrated, this beautiful volume showcases a range of Kasler’s projects, from a luxurious Georgian mansion in Atlanta’s Buckhead to a sophisticated farmhouse in Tennessee and a beach house in Watersound, Florida. Inspired by fashion, Kasler uses a scarf as a throw, adds grosgrain or satin banding to the bottom of a chair cover, accents draperies with Chanel-like piped borders, or embellishes a bed frame with delicate handpainted patterns. Suzanne Kasler is known for her classically inspired rooms, pretty palettes, and comfortable spaces. Her neutral palette, spiced with hits of color, creates warm spaces that are elegant yet inviting. It is these exquisite haute couture details that drive her design aesthetic
Beautiful design book I would recommend this one, especially if you have a transitional style of decorating. Very glamorous rooms with a good balance of femininity and splashes of color mixed with neutral tones.. Inspriring and yet pragmatic, too I purchased several design books this year, and this is by far the best. The style of Inspired Interiors is fresh, classic, timeless and never stuffy or overdone. The commentary is very easy-to-read, and offers straightforward, pragmatic advice. Whether you are looking for a gift, or want a good guide for yourself that looks lovely on the coffee table, you can't go wrong with this book.. "Isn't She Wonderful?" according to Jen E.. I've been a fan of Suzanne Kasler for years. Her work is polished and refined, yet casual, relaxed and effortless. I had the privilage of working with her as a rep when I managed a trade-only showroom in Atlanta. She has phenomenal taste and her style is unique. Her work is definitely worthy of it's own book. Great job Suzanne, you've always inspired me!
Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times, Town & Country, Harper’s Bazaar, House & Garden, and many other publications. Her award-winning projects have been published in major magazines, including Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Veranda, and Southern Accents
