The story that was told regarding the visit was extremely drawn out. Painfully so and according to my iPad, it actually consisted of 52% of the book. Like, WHY? Even if it bears little resemblance to the life you lived as a child, it will spur you to wonder which of your school or neighborhood friends might have had home lives similar to the one Ms. Genovese describes in State of Denial, House of Horrors.
