DESCRIPTION:
"Good for the big twins" according to Peter Sharpe. unfortunately, I own a small block Lario & there wasn't heaps in this volume for me.I was rather concerned at the antiquated system described for painting Guzzis. The days of using a brush & enamel are (hopefully) gone. There are suitable colour codes . Moto Guzzi Twins Restoration by Mick Walker This book is well done and has useful informantion but covers too many models to be helpful on specific models. It provides a good overview and outline procedure. I bought it to aid in the restoration of a 1973 850 Eldorado but there is little specific. Pretty good Albert Book has comprehensive breakdown of Moto Guzzi V-twins, as you might expect. Most attemtion given to big block models, I have a V50 so not ideal, but still, if you are considering restoring a Guzzi, this is pretty handy.
Today, Moto Guzzi are among the world's most popular motorcycles. The Italian marque has been at the forefront motorcycle technology since the introduction in 1950 of the Falcone, once described as "the most romantic 500cc in the world." This book provides all the appendices, pointers on model recognition, paint schemes, and hands-on tips that any restorer or enthusiast needs to know about engines, frames, electrics, suspension, wheels, brakes, and tires. The entire extended family of these Italian classics is covered: the T-series, Le Mans and Lario Sportsters, Strada tourers, Nevada and California custom cruisers, and Quota enduro machines.
