DESCRIPTION:
The reviewers pointed out that this is an ambitious project but one that will pay off because of the lack of good up-to-date textbooks in the area.. Appendices cover linear algebra and provide a Matlab overivew and files. The book blends readability and accessibility common to undergraduate control systems texts with the mathematical rigor necessary to form a solid theoretical foundation
A strength of the text is its rigorous mathematical treatment of the fundamental concepts and theoretical results, supported by a chapter-by-chapter tutorial on the use of the popular software package MATLAB and the associated Control Systems Toolbox for computer-aided control system analysis and design.Chapters discuss:State-space fundamentalsControllabilityObservabilityMinimal RealizationsStabilityThe design of linear state feedback control lawsObservers and observer-based feedback control lawsOptimal controlHighly readable and accessible, this unique combination of control theory and practical applications will bring both students (advanced
GymRat990 said Would not recommed. The book contains a lot of typos. Find another book where the equations have been reviewed for mistakes. Great Book 51 I was looking to augment the assigned text for a state space controls system course. I purchased multiple books to help me. This text was by far the best; it followed the professor's instruction closer than any other text. A few themed examples and exercises ar. "Controls student pleased with textbook purchase" according to soontobegrad. Textbook arrived within an acceptable amount of time. The cover was a bit dirty, but other than that, the item was as described. I recommend this seller and would do business with this seller again.
