Now he's out to do some damage.Curt has been beaten, betrayed, and brutalized by nearly everybody he's known. (for ebooks, go to my KMSCB website for a link to buy it). If Curt can get the bastard off while being assaulted, they'll give him a car, cash, and a chance at a new life. Being in the mood to do some damage, Curt agreesbut step-by-step a stupid little bet begins to spin out of control and threatens to plunge him headlong into disaster. And he's not sure he wants to stop it. A very satisfying method of revenge. It seems the two men, Wayne and Lenny, want some revenge of their own against a straight guy who's caused them trouble. Even his mother -- once a prostitute but now married and born again -- has banned him from contact with his younger brother and sisters. Demands from his wife and zero prospects of a decent job are making it impossible for him to even think of having a normal lifeuntil he's hustling two gay men in a bar, one afternoon, and mentions his experiences in prison -- which included forcing straight cons to get off as he raped them. There's more than o
Henry Brooks said Hot as Hell. From the title of the book, I expected to read routine porn, What I read just knocked me for a loop. The anti-hero of the novel, Curt, is a hardened criminal, having served two prison terms. Like all ex cons, he sees himself as an innocent victim and blames everyone for his misfortunes except himself. The tone of the book is dark and brooding from the get-go. It's not the kind of read I usually enjoy, but the author is so adept at his craft, that he conquered me almost immediately and hooked me "wtite" in. I couldn't put the book dow. Kindle Customer said Outstanding work. This title is absolutely awful. Way too jarring. I think this book should be rereleased with this as a subtitle perhaps. The cover is equally terrible. Those are the cons. The only ones. this book is freaking amazing. The main character is criminal, with serious mental issues, and is so compelling you can't stop reading. The story line gets darker and darker and all you can do is read faster and faster. And when you think it can't get more twisted it goes into awesome mode and all you can do is keep reading and gasping and screaming . "Straight guys beware" according to Bogey. What a hell of a ride. Curt's good ideas run into the worst ideas and you are screaming in your head "Don't do that, Curt!!!", but he does it anyway. This story will keep you on the edge of you seat, keep your heart beating just a bit faster, and make your hands shake just noticeably. Sullivan IS one hell of a writer. He does not disappoint!
It's hard and brutal, and there is a lot of sex in it (both gay and straight), but it has a solid comment on the reality of revengeand on America's pathetic system of "justice." Be warned -- this ain't no easy slide down the slopes, for damn sure. From the Author I don't know where this book came from; it's more like I was channeling Curt as he told the story.
