This work, the culmination of more than forty years of yoga instruction, offers a relaxed approach that is suitable for all fitness levels. More than forty photographs are included to demonstrate clearly the movement, and all directions are simple enough to be followed by even the most inexperienced yoga practitioners. Incorporating G"entler Yoga’s" approach into a daily routine just may lead to a feeling of well-being as the mind, body and spirit flourish.. Focusing on health and safety, "Gentler Yoga" recommends yogic elements that should be practiced regularly and warns of those that should be avoided
"Simple yet effective book." according to Amazon Customer. Small book with good information on gentle yoga for older people. Written by someone with experience showing a slower, simple way to practice basic yoga postures. Photos show an actual senior doing the poses. Sometimes books are written for seniors or gentle yoga and still have a 20 year in a pretzel position. This is a very nice realistic book for someone who would like a simple practice. Spiral bound and easy to use. A nice editon for anyones yoga book library.. "Unprofessional pictures" according to Lynne M. Miller. I am a yoga teacher who has purchased many yoga books over the years and this one is not very good. The black and white pictures are blurry and not professional quality. There are not enought safety cues either for a new student. Put your money elsewhere!
