"Lovely book" according to Hollie Luttrell. Perfect!. Quality reproductions of antique fashion plates. This is a beautifully produced book in a large format with its own slipcase. The paper used is good quality heavy art paper and the images are beautifully reproduced, though many small sized images have been blown up to a large size to fill the page. The author provides a basic overview of the history of fashio. "Not as thorough on the earlier fashion plates, sadly." according to s.westfield. Not as thorough on the earlier 17th and 18 th cent fashion plates,a bit disappointing. ( though more rare ,they were producing them in the mid 17 th cent as well as the 18 th cent -which was only briefly covered.)
