DESCRIPTION:
Due to the recent advances of MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical system) technology, it has become feasible to quickly manufacture distributed micro-manipulators at low cost. Another form of distributed manipulation is derived from a vibrating plate, and teams of mobile robots have been used to herd large objects into desired locations. When each actuator in the array has a sensor, distributed sensing presents some basic research challenges. Since a distributed manipulator has many actuators, distributed control str
Complete coverage T. Balch This book is among the best in this field. The discussion of conveyor-belt robotics is captivating, as is the thorough coverage of vornoi-centered inverse kinematics. I would heartily recommend this book to any student of sensorless navigation. The only negative aspect is that no account of FRAS is provided as is the case in some other books on this subject.Overall, I give the book high marks
