"An incredible story" according to George Herris. The story of A.G. Gaston is simply incredible. I purchased the book because I love to read storiesabout people who have overcome impossible odds to become successful business people.But I am also a 20th century history buff and therefore, thisbook was an exceptional treat. About halfway through, I wasfantasizing about a Ken Burns documentary called, The Life And Times Of A.G. Gaston.One quick sidebar; Check out the story ofMadame C.J. Walker, a Black woman born shortly after the Civilwar, to former slaves. She b. Powerfully inspiring What I liked about this book is the documented history of America and how through focus, discipline, vision this Black Titan overcame and surpassed all challenges.I would recommend this book to anyone facing adversity.I chose this rating because this book is truly inspirational.. Such an inspirational book! This story is truly amazing! Every since I started reading it I have been telling my family, friends, and co workers about this book in hopes that they purchase it. If this doesn't light a fire under you to put in work I don't know what will.
