DESCRIPTION:
John Ellis said Whoever Thought Of A Cookbook Without Recipes?. The title tells my perspective. If you only like pictures and no recipes, you will love this book!We may eat with our eyes, but with this book you will not be making anything you see in the book because there are no recipes.Lets face it. Anyone buying a cookbook wants to have recipes to make what they see.Well, there you have it!. "Well written history including beautiful food presented in quantities the average homemaker can enjoy preparing." according to JTW. This well written book is like a history book. What fun to learn about the presidents and their family traditions. The menus including the recipes are awesome. I am pleased that recipes are "home sized" and look very challenging and delicious.. Great gift This is going to be a gift for one of my instructors. I am glad I have her and have learned much from being in her class. I am sure she would appreciate the intense desserts featured in this book. It's a very nice coffee table book.
In this memoir, Roland Mesnier, pastry chef to five presidents, recalls the stunning desserts he created for White House State Dinners, formal events, and family celebrations.
